Double chin liposuction in Istanbul targets exactly this submental area and suits people whose skin still has reasonable elasticity. At the consultation, the surgeon marks the fat deposit and checks skin quality; if the skin is very lax, a neck lift may be discussed instead. The fat is removed through tiny incisions with a micro-cannula, as an outpatient procedure under local anaesthesia with sedation. Plan on about 3 hotel nights and 3–4 days before desk work. Swelling & Bruising

Mild swelling and bruising under the chin are expected and ease noticeably within the first week while the chin compression garment is worn.

Contour Irregularities or Skin Dimpling

Seroma or Temporary Firmness

It does not tighten significantly loose skin, remove neck bands or enlarge a small chin; these need other procedures. Mild swelling and bruising are normal at first, and most patients return to light activities within 3 to 7 days while wearing the chin garment. Swelling settles gradually, with the new jawline contour usually visible by 4 to 6 weeks, and subtle refinement can continue for a few months. The result depends on skin elasticity and on keeping a stable weight, because the remaining fat cells can still enlarge.
