What is VASER liposuction? VASER liposuction (Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance) is an ultrasound-assisted body contouring technique. Unlike conventional methods, ultrasonic energy selectively liquefies fat cells before they are suctioned, allowing precise removal while helping to protect the surrounding blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue. The procedure is intended for high-definition contouring and is not a weight-loss treatment.
Treatment areas and VASER 360 liposuction. The technique allows targeted treatment of areas with persistent fat deposits: the abdomen, flanks (waist), back, arms, thighs or double chin. VASER 360 liposuction treats the midsection circumferentially (abdomen, flanks and back) to create a balanced, proportionate silhouette.
Skin elasticity and combining with a tummy tuck. - Uncontrolled diabetes, heart, lung or bleeding disorders, or anticoagulants that cannot be paused safely
- Previous deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism without specialist evaluation
- Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or an active skin infection in the treatment areas

Realistic Expectations & Outcomes
Vaser liposuction reduces localised fat deposits and refines body contours; it does not treat obesity, cellulite or significant loose skin, and it is not a weight-loss procedure. Ultrasound energy helps release fat before gentle extraction, and some skin retraction can follow, but its degree varies with age and skin quality. Visible swelling and bruising peak in the first week and settle substantially within 4 to 6 weeks, while the compression garment is worn. Residual swelling continues to resolve over 3 to 6 months, so the final contour is judged at around 6 months. Removed fat cells do not grow back, yet the remaining ones can enlarge with weight gain, so a stable weight protects the result.
Revision & Follow-Up Policy
Meva Clinic coordinates structured follow-up after Vaser liposuction, with remote photo reviews at 1, 3 and 6 months and a further check at 12 months where helpful. Because contours keep changing while residual swelling resolves, any minor irregularity is assessed only after the tissues have settled, usually not before 6 months.
