About This Procedure
Why Choose Meva Clinic?
Filler injection into the glans to delay ejaculation and increase visual volume.
Glans augmentation places a small amount of hyaluronic acid (HA) filler beneath the skin of the glans, the head of the penis. It is considered for two different reasons: premature ejaculation, where a thin filler layer may reduce glans hypersensitivity, and a glans that feels small in proportion to the shaft. Both goals are discussed privately with the doctor, including the fact that HA is gradually absorbed, so the effect is temporary. Glans augmentation in Istanbul is done with a numbing cream, no hospital stay and about two hotel nights. Intercourse, masturbation and friction are avoided for 7–14 days to reduce the risk of filler displacement or infection. Sensation and appearance respond differently in each man. If shaft girth is also a concern, see HA filler for girth.

The Clinical Procedure
Meva Clinic Clinical Care Team
Confidential Consultation
A private discussion of your goal (hypersensitivity, proportion or both), your medical history and whether HA filler is suitable for you.
Preparation
The area is cleaned under sterile conditions and a numbing cream is applied for comfort.
HA Injection
A small amount of hyaluronic acid filler is placed beneath the skin of the glans and shaped evenly.
Check and Aftercare
The doctor checks the result and explains aftercare, including 7–14 days without sexual activity, before you return to the hotel.
Recovery & Transformation Journey
Phase 1: First Days
Avoid direct friction or pressure on the treated area. Mild swelling or redness is common and usually settles on its own.
Phase 2: Careful Activity
Light daily activities can resume straight away. Avoid intense exercise, the gym and swimming for 7 days.
Phase 3: Sexual Abstinence
Avoid intercourse, masturbation and friction for 7–14 days to reduce the risk of filler displacement or infection.
Phase 4: Settled Result
The filler settles into place. Sexual activity and sport resume after the doctor's review; as HA is gradually absorbed, the effect is temporary.
The Meva Advantage
Specifically modulated sensitivity for lasting intimacy.
Medical Guidelines & Safety Protocols
Hospital-based procedures are coordinated through accredited partner hospitals, including JCI-accredited institutions where clinically appropriate. Below are the clinical guidelines, safety protocols, and medical reference documentation for this procedure.
Indicated / Suitable For
- Men with lifelong or long-standing premature ejaculation in whom glans hypersensitivity is considered a contributing factor after assessment.
- Men who have tried or discussed first-line approaches, such as behavioural techniques, topical anaesthetic creams or medication, and found them unsuitable or not effective enough.
- Men who feel the glans is small in proportion to the shaft and want a subtle, non-surgical increase in its volume.
- Men who accept that hyaluronic acid is gradually absorbed, so the effect is temporary and may need maintenance.
- Men able to avoid intercourse, masturbation and friction for 7–14 days after treatment.
Contraindications / Not Suitable
- Active genital infection, balanitis, a sexually transmitted infection or skin lesions on the glans or foreskin at the time of treatment.
- Known allergy to hyaluronic acid products or to the numbing cream used.
- Premature ejaculation driven mainly by other causes, such as erectile difficulties, prostate inflammation, thyroid problems, anxiety or relationship factors, which need their own assessment first.
- Bleeding disorders or anticoagulant medication that cannot be managed safely around the injection, as decided with the prescribing doctor.
- Previous permanent (non-absorbable) fillers or silicone injections in the penis, which change the tissue and the risk profile.
Pre-Operative Evaluation & Diagnostic Checks
Confidential Andrology Consultation: Discussion of your goal (hypersensitivity, proportion or both), how long the premature ejaculation has been present and what has already been tried.
Symptom Questionnaire: A validated tool such as the Premature Ejaculation Diagnostic Tool (PEDT), with an estimate of time to ejaculation, to document the starting point.
Genital Examination: Assessment of the glans, foreskin and frenulum, checking for infection, phimosis or other findings that affect injection planning.
Medical and Medication Review: Allergies, anticoagulants, previous genital procedures or fillers, and conditions such as erectile dysfunction that may need treatment alongside.
Potential Risks & Complications
In compliance with transparent clinical reporting, Meva Clinic ensures patients are fully informed of the physiological risks associated with surgical procedures through accredited partner-hospital safety protocols where clinically appropriate.
Common in the first days; they usually settle without treatment, helped by avoiding friction and pressure on the glans.
Small irregularities can appear if the filler collects unevenly; gentle moulding at review often helps, and HA can be dissolved with the enzyme hyaluronidase if needed.
Early sexual activity or friction can shift the filler before it settles, which is why intercourse, masturbation and friction pause for 7–14 days.
Uncommon with sterile technique and correct aftercare; increasing pain, warmth, discharge or fever should be reported to the coordinator straight away.
Rarely, filler can affect blood flow in the glans, causing colour change or unusual pain; this needs same-day review, as prompt hyaluronidase treatment can reverse it.
The aim is to reduce hypersensitivity, but some men notice more numbness than expected or little change; because HA is gradually absorbed, these effects are temporary.
Realistic Expectations & Outcomes
Glans augmentation can lessen how intensely the glans reacts to touch and can add a modest amount of volume to the head of the penis. It is not a cure for premature ejaculation, and it does not address psychological, hormonal or erectile causes; major sexual-medicine guidelines do not yet recommend it as a routine treatment. Some men notice better control, others only a small change. Swelling in the first one to two weeks makes the glans look fuller than the final result, so shape and effect are judged once the filler has settled, at the doctor's review. Because HA is gradually absorbed, the effect fades over time and maintenance may be discussed.
Revision & Follow-Up Policy
Follow-up continues remotely, with check-ins at around 1, 3 and 6 months to review control, sensation, shape and any side effects. Small irregularities are assessed once swelling has gone down; a touch-up or, if needed, dissolving the filler with hyaluronidase is considered only after the tissues have settled and the doctor has reviewed photos or examined you in person. Any additional treatment is planned individually. For 12 months after your treatment you can also send photos to the medical team whenever you wish and receive their feedback, and your questions are answered remotely.
